 "A brain bag tutorial:  How to visualize high-dimensional neural data with DataHigh."

Do you find your data to be too complex?  Are things not as smooth as you would like?  Is one neuron saying one thing, and another neuron telling you something completely different?  Then dimensionality reduction may be for you! In this tutorial, I'll present a Matlab GUI, called DataHigh, which allows the user to input raw neural time series data (spike trains, calcium traces, EEG, EMG, MEG, etc.), walks through the process of performing dimensionality reduction, and enables the user to visualize the extracted latent variables together (even if the dimensionality is greater than 3).  After this tutorial, you should be well prepared to use DataHigh on your own data.   BONUS LIVE DEMO: If you would like me to visualize your own data during the tutorial, send me an email!
