This conference is organized by post-doctoral scholars from the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh. In this three-day conference, we will bring together theorists and experimentalists from numerous disciplines who seek to understand how properties of neural networks and individual neurons translate into brain function and behavior. In order to encourage interaction and discussion, the conference will involve a series of lectures from renowned scientists, as well as shorter presentations by junior researchers.
