Dr. Deepak Sarpal earned his MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine. He is an early-stage physician scientist and an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, where he completed his residency training. Dr. Sarpal’s current research focuses on the neurobiology of treatment response in patients with psychotic disorders, and he is specifically interested in applying functional neuroimaging measures to examine changes in neural circuitry that are associated with clinical variables measured in clinical settings. Through his research, he is working toward integrating functional imaging with clinical algorithms to develop individually targeted treatment strategies.
