Dr. Natividad's research integrates behavioral and biochemical approaches to study neurotransmitter and lipid signaling systems in brain regions that modulate behavioral anxiety and the anhedonic responses of the “dark side” of addiction. Expanding his research scope to broad-scale assessments of the brain proteome, he is interested in using advanced platforms in mass spectrometry to comprehensively study the effects of drugs of abuse and negative affective states on small molecule transmitters and protein signaling in the brain. Dr. Natividad is currently a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Drs. Marisa Roberto and John R. Yates at the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) in San Diego, California.
