Dr. Brendon Watson uses electrophysiologic and optogenetic methods to study the neurobiology of psychiatric disease and healthy brain function. Some of his most recent work involves the use of high-density silicon probe recordings in rodents to demonstrate a novel form of homeostasis in the cortex during sleep. Currently, he is an Instructor in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  His clinical practice focuses on a combination of pharmacologic therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy for a range of disorders and difficulties.
