Multi-Site Research Project Coordinator

The Psychology department at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Project Coordinator for a multi-site (Pittsburgh, Boston, Kansas City) Phase III clinical trial that will be examining the effects of exercise on cognitive and brain function in older adults.

The responsibilities for this position include managing, overseeing, coordinating, and communicating with investigators and staff about the everyday affairs of the trial including managing and overseeing the work of about 20 investigators and staff in Pittsburgh, managing a budget of about $3 million/year, communicating and coordinating with approximately 20 investigators and staff in Kansas City and Boston, and coordinating regular conference calls and meetings between investigators and staff. Will directly supervise Pittsburgh-based staff involved in study execution and organization. In conjunction with the Principal Investigator, will write progress reports to be submitted to NIH and write and manage protocols and research modules. Will coordinate and write committee reports for the Data Safety and Monitoring Board and External Advisory Committee and update progress of the study for the ClinicalTrials.gov website. It is imperative that the person has experience on multi-site clinical trials, mentoring and managing junior staff, and writing research protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. While generally a M-F position, some off hours during evenings and/or weekends may be required based on project needs.
