Postdoctoral Position - Neuroimaging Lab

A postdoc position for candidates interested in neuronal and vascular imaging research is available in the Neuroimaging Laboratory of the Department of Radiology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

The Laboratory is looking for an enthusiastic post-doc to lead a project involving imaging and analysis of neuronal activity and vascular responses in awake and anesthetized rodents. We are a multidisciplinary team funded by NIH combining cutting edge in vivo imaging (optical and multi-photon), optogenetic techniques and data/computational modeling. The scope of the research is focused on function and dysfunction of the neurovascular unit (particularly in Alzheimer’s disease) as well as analysis methods for this data. Interested applicants must have experience in at least one of the following areas: small animal handling and experimentation, in vivo imaging, optical imaging, two-photon microscopy, fMRI, resting-state data analysis, signal/image processing. Experience using Matlab is desired, but not essential.

The position is available immediately with the possibility for annual contract renewal and/or promotion based on performance evaluation and funding availability. The University of Pittsburgh is an Equal Opportunity Employer: EEO/AA/M/F/Vets/Disabled.
