Postdoctoral Position - Plasticity of Auditory Circuits - Lab of Karl Kandler, Department of Otolaryngology

The Laboratory of Dr. Karl Kandler at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for motivated postdoctoral fellows interested in the plasticity of synapses and circuits in the auditory system. Our lab applies a wide variety of state-of-the-art electrophysiological, anatomical, behavioral, and optical techniques (2-Photon imaging, optogenetics, laser-scanning photostimulation) to genetic mouse models to better understand the mechanisms by which auditory circuits are reorganized in development and in pathological conditions.

Our lab is embedded in a multi-PI auditory research group, which provides a collaborative and highly interactive environment. Our institutional training grant in auditory neuroscience provides additional training in science are  carrer planing.  For further information see http://www.audres.pitt.edu/people/kandler.php

Interested and motivated candidates should email their CV to kkarl@pitt.edu
